Why I'm
running

and why now →

I was born and raised in Denver. My parents came here from Pakistan to escape religious persecution, and they built a new life through hard work and a refusal to quit.

Their belief in the American dream became my own. I'm running for mayor because every family in Denver deserves the same shot they had.

The HEART plan.

What I’ll do as your mayor.

  1. Housing affordability

    • I will eliminate bureaucratic delays and end obstructionist regulations so that builders, not committees, can increase supply and lower the cost of housing.
    • I will legalize duplexes, triplexes, and backyard cottages by right across the city. We need houses that people can actually afford.

  2. Economic opportunity

    • I will introduce my 60-day shot clock: city agencies will have 60 days to approve or deny business permits. Along with it, I will introduce a 30-day fast track for small build-outs.
    • I will deliver targeted tax relief to local businesses to level the playing field against corporate giants.
    • I will stop speculative landlords from keeping prime storefronts dark for years while entrepreneurs get priced out.

  3. Addiction recovery

    • We will create a centralized recovery center for people on our streets who are suffering from addiction. Staying on the street will no longer be an option. We will provide a bed and a path forward, and you will provide a commitment to sobriety, mental health treatment, and workforce training.
    • We will give tax incentives to Denver businesses that hire people coming out of our programs.

  4. Responsible safety

    • No more open-air drug use, no more lawless encampments, and no more second chances for repeat thieves. If you ruin our city, you get booked. Period.
    • I will funnel emergency city funds into sign-on and retention bonuses so that cops can get back on the beat and criminals know that Denver is officially off limits.
    • I will create a dedicated task force of prosecutors whose only job is to hunt down and lock up chronic violent offenders.

  5. Transparency

    • I will create an online, public-facing fiscal dashboard so that everyone can see where their taxpayer money is going in real time, down to the last cent.
    • We will end contracts with providers who can’t show a direct path to self-sufficiency. If a program doesn’t work, it doesn’t get paid.
