Her story.

How she got here.

  1. Roots

    The American dream, up close

Her parents immigrated from Pakistan to escape religious persecution. She grew up watching them build a new life here through hard work and a refusal to quit when things got hard. Their belief in the American dream became her own, and with it came a relentless work ethic and the confidence that effort and persistence can open any door.

  2. Work

    Behind the register

As soon as she was tall enough to reach the cash register, Samantha was working in her family’s restaurant. She has volunteered with the Salvation Army and the Dream Center, on a local goat farm, and at Coors Field.

  3. Family

    Addiction, up close

One of four children, Samantha saw addiction up close in her own family. That experience is the root of her passion for addiction recovery and her belief that Denver can do far more to help people heal.

  4. Why now

    Every family deserves a shot

Samantha is running for mayor because she believes every family in Denver deserves the same shot her parents had.

Denver can be the
crown jewel
of the nation.

A fair shot

Every family deserves the shot her parents had.

Her priorities.

What she’ll go to work on first.

01

Public safety

Every family in Denver deserves to feel safe in their own neighborhood. Building a city where families can chase the same dream her parents did starts there.

02

Addiction recovery

Samantha has seen addiction up close in her own family. She knows recovery is possible, and she believes Denver can do far more to help people heal.

03

Economic prosperity for local businesses

Samantha grew up working in her family’s restaurant. She knows what it takes to keep a local business open, and she wants Denver’s small businesses to thrive.

04

Homelessness: Results First

Samantha wants Denver to move from “Housing First” to Results First, with a plan to bring order back to the city’s streets.

What Samantha will do

  • Declare a state of emergency to bring order back to Denver’s streets.
  • Mandatory shelter.
  • Fiscal audits of the city’s homelessness spending.
  • A path into private-sector jobs.

With her? Get in the fight.
