Every family in Denver deserves to feel safe in their own neighborhood. Building a city where families can chase the same dream her parents did starts there.
Samantha Nazish is a Denver native, born and raised in the city she now hopes to lead.
How she got here.
Her parents immigrated from Pakistan to escape religious persecution. She grew up watching them build a new life here through hard work and a refusal to quit when things got hard. Their belief in the American dream became her own, and with it came a relentless work ethic and the confidence that effort and persistence can open any door.
As soon as she was tall enough to reach the cash register, Samantha was working in her family’s restaurant. She has volunteered with the Salvation Army and the Dream Center, on a local goat farm, and at Coors Field.
One of four children, Samantha saw addiction up close in her own family. That experience is the root of her passion for addiction recovery and her belief that Denver can do far more to help people heal.
Samantha is running for mayor because she believes every family in Denver deserves the same shot her parents had.
